Jess Barnwell

Jess is the owner of Rooted Appalachia Bodyworks, an Advanced Thai Practitioner and Thai Massage Instructor for Living Sabai Thai Massage School. Through her training in Thailand with the International Training Massage School in Chiang Mai and Thai Master, Pichest Boonthumme, in Hang Dong, she has studied the Old Medicine Hospital, Ajahn Sinthorn linage since 2012. Jess holds a deep passion for bodywork, health and wellness that extends to every area of her life. She values the combination of traditional Thai, its ancient wisdom, integrative and intuitive therapeutic touch.

When not with her clients, Jess is homesteading, making music, growing and creating plant medicine and making memories with her family in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.

Jess is available for Thai on the Mat and Integrative Table Work Thursdays - Saturdays from 9-5.

Anna Bello

Anna practiced traditional western massage, primarily deep tissue and sports massage, for 4 years before she began studying Thai bodywork with Jill Burynski and Living Sabai in 2015. Since then, she has studied extensively with Living Sabai, traveling with them to Thailand in January/February of 2023. 

In Thailand, Anna studied at International Training for Massage School (ITM)  in Chiang Mai, Omsala in Chiang Mai, and Boonthumme Thai Massage School Chiang Mai with recently passed Ajhan Pichet and his son Master Teacher Aon.

In the U.S., Anna was mentored by and studied with Elizabeth Kriz of Carolina Thai Healing Arts in Charlotte, NC for several years. Additionally in the U.S., she studied Thai bodywork with David Roma, Michael Sitzer, and recently with Janice Gagnon, founder of Spirit Winds School of Thai Massage in Nevada City, California. Janice is a lineage holder of Master Healer/Teacher Lek Chaiya, the founder of Jap Sen style in Chiang Mai.

Anna hopes to honor her teachers and the traditions of Thai bodywork that she has been privileged to have shared with her.

Anna is available for Thai Massage Mondays 10am- 7pm, and Tuesdays 3pm-7pm.
